I have taken many cars to Clarke's for over 15+ years. Bob has always treated me with honesty. While sitting waiting for a repair I hear the same speech to everyone that walks in.... he specifically discusses his findings, possible solutions, costs, and recommendations if too expensive if they can be delayed so you can afford them over time without impacting safety. Bob, Barbara and Matt run a family operation along with Zach their high tech specialist/mechanic. I never have spent money at a Dealership and will always support a shop like Clarke Automotive. You should too..

If you're looking for an honest, methodical, fix-it-the-first-time kind of auto service experience, you need to put your trust in Bob Clarke. Mr. Clarke wears his morals on his sleeve and prides his longevity in this field of business on his proven reliability and diagnostic skill. I brought a problem to him that the dealer could not source. After thorough trial and error testing, the problem was rectified. He explained the processes every step of the way and kept me up to date on the progress. Other reviews have stated that they felt they were up sold; my experience was 100% opposite. When it was proven that repair attempts did not rectify the original problem, I was not charged for any of the diagnostic work. You could've knocked me over with a feather when he explained his decisions to me. In a nutshell, I trust Mr. Clarke implicitly. I fully intend on letting him handle all of my automotive needs moving forward.

My experience is quite unique....I made an appointment (so I would have a shorter wait period) with a diagnostic repair shop an I forgot the name so the morning of my appointment I entered Clarks asking if I had the appointment with his business.....in retrospect I realized he didnt actually answer me BUT led me to believe I was at the right shop......The man at the counter BOB? is a little to touchy feeely for me an speaks down to woman, needless to say my truck was not repaired properly 100.00 later. I dont know what or where he recieved his training on expaining repair work and upsale to customers but his mechanic did a better job verbally. BEWARE make sure you are at the right shop if you were referred...Eventually I found the paper I wrote the original shop name on and it was on same street after telling them my story Im not the only person this has happened to.
