I've been a customer of Clark's for almost two years now and I haven't been disappointed once. Mr. Clark was our initial meet and he was very accommodating, understanding of the neccisity of having our car back and fixed within a reasonable time. He went above and beyond to make sure we were ok and impressed us having our car repaired and back to us quickly. Since then, I've worked w Matthew and he's done a great job communicating with me as far as what my car needs (it's a 2004 with many many miles) what's priority and what we can plan for. Coming from someone who was relatively new to the area, felt vulnerable re: choosing a trustworthy mechanic. They've done a great job! I have confidence when I send my family and friends there.

Family owned and very friendly. They have reasonable prices. They work hard at making their customers happy. One of the best things they offer is shuttle service to and from the shop.

Well I called to have my vehicle taken care of and was given quotes and talked to someone named Scott who seemed very understanding of my situation and the prices seemed fair. He was very clear in the pricing, and even offered it towed back home free! I was ready to send my vehicle! Then I called this week and Got a Mr. Clark himself who said, no they do not allow people to have their vehicles towed in via AAA nor pay with a credit card over the phone. As a disabled person who does not leave home except to travel locally and caregiver, thats what I need to do, though I said, hey, I can pay face to face when dropped back off. (As who in their right mind is going to leave a blank check or cash hidden in their vehicle?!?) So the man spent 10 minutes telling me about a court ruling of why he would only take credit cards/debit cards from SOME people. As a new potential long term customer, they just lost my business before I even got there. But he did tell God to bless me. I felt like, he was saying that people were not happy with his work and trying to get their money back!?! Or that people pretending to be other people were using credit cards over the phone!? I have no idea, all I know is after my first call I felt like I would trust these people, after the second one, I felt that it was sort of...shady, and most definitely uncaring for a lack of a better term. Sounds like a make-a-buck don't get to know or care about the customer place. I am sad that the world has come to this. Mechanics and shops of quality and honesty are hard to find, I thought I had found one. Apparently not.

We are sorry you feel that way. While we must stand by court rulings and what technology allows us to do, we in no way wanted to make you feel singled out. Give Bob or Matt a call and they will certainly see if there is anything they can do to assist you. We appreciate your business and the opportunity to take care of your automotive issues that are within the lines of the law and our abilities.

Very thorough, quality work and priced at normal standards. Update 2019. After two cars being in the clarks for repairs I had a warranty issue. Let me tell you when Matt says we stand behind our work he means every word. Out of state and had a defective water pump. Let’s face it, parts aren’t perfect so I can’t blame the shop if it goes bad. Stuff happens. Called Clark’s told them the water pump appeared to be leaking. Bob Clarke called me with a local shops location and ask me to take it there. They removed the pump which was defective and replaced it. Called Matt to tell him. With no hesitation he called the shop paid the bill for the replacement and labor. Can’t say that I experience that type of customer service these days. It’s nice to know there’s a shop that goes above and beyond. Thank you Matt and the Clarke Automotive family for the service you provide.
