After 3 shops tried to fix the "clunking" sound in my 2007 GMC Envoy Denali front end and spending over $2,000 and it still not fixed I was getting frustrated and angry. I decided to Google "auto repair near me 33511" and Clark Automotive popped up with the most reviews (71 at the time). I started reading through them and felt that these people could really help me. So I called and a jovial voice on the other end picked up very politely and courteously answered the phone. It was Bob Clark. I made some funny comment on how polite he was and we joked around and immediately set a rapport. I went on to describe my problem and money I spent to try to fix it. Bob very humbly without giving me some BS said they could look at it and try to find the problem. The next morning I brought in the car the around 8:00 am. By 11:00 am I received a call from Bob who sounded very serious and said: "I hate to make these kind of calls, but the cost to repair your car is . . . (that infinitesimally long pause, like on HGTV House Hunters when there going to tell you which house they chose) Bob says its $97! I nearly fell out of my seat. To make a short story long, it is a rarity to find people in the automotive repair industry that are #1 competent and #2 have integrity. We have found this is the best place to go in this area. These people are honest and friendly. They have not steered us wrong on any work we have had done. They have fair prices and high quality work!

I needed a new alternator (along with some other things). I called around and Clarke was the most affordable and convenient. So, I take it in and was seriously surprised. It is family owned - like dad and son. And I'm telling you they were VERY honest with me. I'm a college aged girl and I know jack about cars, but they never took advantage of that. Turns out, something went wrong with the alternator almost a year later. I have moved away since. Not only did I get a new one because of the warranty, but Clarke PAID for the labor to get it fixed where I moved to. I seriously cannot believe they did that. I am SOOOOOO appreciative for the type of customer service they provide. Money is really tight and with my car down, this was a HUGE help. I'm seriously still in shock that they are going to pay for it to be fixed. Go to them. You won't regret it I promise you.

Very professional and polite. They inspire confidence in their work. A little condescending when explaining the importance of maintaining my car but, as a customer service professional myself, I understand how difficult it is to know what level of knowledge the customer already has based on the few minutes you've spoken with them. I'm definitely going back.

Bob and Matt work hard to keep costs down and do honest work on our vehicle. The mechanics are also knowledgeable and friendly. The job is done correctly the first time .
